Clinical
At International University School of Medicine (IUSOM), Main
Campus, in Scenic Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands (Dutch
Caribbean) (Formerly Netherlands Antilles), The
Netherlands, European Union (EU) and at IUSOM Worldwide
Branch Campuses, the students, after successful completion
of the Basic Sciences Program, enter the Clinical Medicine,
i.e., Clinical Rotation part of their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)
Degree Program. The Clinical Medicine component
comprises of 72 weeks of clinical rotations through the
support of several medical specialties in IUSOM-affiliated
hospitals in South & North America, EU, and Asian countries
including Dutch Caribbean (Formerly Netherlands Antilles).
During these clinical rotations, the students will be given an
opportunity to work directly with the physicians and hospital
staff, conducting physical examinations, history taking, case
presentations, laboratory analysis, and attending workshops,
conferences, and grand rounds.
During the Clinical Medicine/Rotation program, IUSOM
worldwide students will have 48 weeks of required Core
Clinical Rotations in Internal Medicine, General Surgery,
Obstetrics & Gynecology, Family Medicine Practice,
Pediatrics, and Psychiatry. IUSOM Students will be required
to complete an objective examination at the end of each core
clinical rotation. This score will be averaged with the overall
score of performance given by the preceptor. The remaining
24 weeks are Elective Clinical Rotations, which an IUSOM
student may choose based upon their projected medical
specialty. IUSOM does not require written examinations in
Elective Clinical Rotations.
IUSOM students with excessive absences, whether excused
or unexcused, may fail a Clinical Rotation. Violation of
hospital rules or a pattern of inappropriate or unprofessional
behavior may result in suspension or dismissal from IUSOM
Clinical Medicine program.
It should be added that all Worldwide Campuses of
International University School of Medicine (IUSOM) also
accept Transfer Student Admission Applications (with
Advanced Standing) for both their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)
Degree Program (covering Basic Sciences and Clinical
Rotations) & Pre-Medical (PreMed) Program,
i.e., IUSOM can consider to give an applicant, exemptions in
the form of Credit Transfer for those required subjects,
which were completed and passed at other Medical
Universities and Institutions (situated anywhere in the World)
listed at W.H.O.’s World Directory of Medical Schools
(WDOMS).

USA. Prof. Ramlu is a well qualified and experienced
healthcare professional with qualifications in medicine, public
health, project management, integrative medicine, hospital
management, and clinical research. He has worked in the
clinical and research institutions around the world for last 31
years in positions ranging from clinician, principal
investigator, lecturer, professor, dean, medical director,
project manager, subject-matter-expert, and hospital
management consultant. His career success has been built
